The Kirovka Pedestrian Street - the great pride of the city nowadays. It is one of the oldest and grandest streets of Chelyabinsk. The lovely merchant houses remain pristine in their sumptuous glory up to the modern days here. Once an important transportation artery, as the intercity trunk road led from here to the town of Ufa - currently this part of it, called the Kirovka, is a walking only street. For thoughtful and sensible tourists, the Kirovka offers its unique preserved architecture dating back to the nineteenth century.
